As Dozens Of Liberian Gov’t Officials Said To Be Quarantined For COVID-19, Information Minister Eugene Nagbe Tests Positive

Liberia’s Information Minister, Lenn Eugene Nagbe has been tested positive of COVID-19

As the COVID-19 continue to ravages Liberia in recent time with senior officials been tested positive for the virus, the latest to announced himself of being hit by the virus is the Minister of Information, Mr. Lenn Eugene Nagbe who spoke to a local radio station from his 14 Military Hospital called on Liberians to take the virus serious and take all necessary precautionary measures.

Minister Nagbe is the second Liberian government cabinet minister to be confirmed of the virus, the first was the Minister of Justice, Frank Musa Dean who was confirmed positive of the virus yesterday, April 27, 2020 by Liberian health authorities.

As a result of the seriousness of the virus, the Inspector General of the Liberia National Police, Patrick Sudue at a news conference called on Liberians and foreign residents in Liberia to take the wearing of face masks seriously, and further ordered all security apparatus to arrest any individuals who fail to follow the Liberian leader mandate by wearing face mask and following all health protocols to avoid the spreading of the virus.
