LIBERIA: Caldwell Township Residents Ransack Home Of Monrovia City Police Chief

For his alleged involvement of harassing residents of the Township of Caldwell during observing of the ‘State of Emergency’ dozens of residents have ransacked the residence of the Monrovia City Police Chief taken away households and other belongings.

According to report, Mr. Thomas Garwu was accused by the residents of harassing them on a regular basic, noting his action has made them to do what they did, adding, “We are tired of Mr. Garwu attitude by harassing us at night,” Mrs. Laurine Koffa speaking a local radio station via mobile phone said.

Reacting to this news, the spokesman of the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC), said his institution will conduct an investigation leveled against the City Police chief, noting that the residents should have first channel their grievances through authority of the MCC instead taken the law into their hands.
