Health authorities in Liberia say an Indian national has been declared positive of the COVID-19 bringing the number of affected persons of the virus to seven, a situation that seems to worry many Liberians who over the past weeks been praying that the number should remain to its current status, six affected persons.
Speaking on a local radio station in Monrovia, Information Minister, Lenn Eugene Nagbe said the Indian national who has not left the country since December 2019, but informed health authorities that over the past weeks he interacted with some foreign visitors in Monrovua.
Meanwhile, according to Minister Nagbe the reported COVID-19 affected person has been transferred to quarantined center awaiting further check.
In a related development, an Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Public Works has been diagnosed of the virus, and has been transferred to a quarantined center outside Monrovia.
