The residents speaking to the GNN in their queues to receive food deliciously prepared by caterers hired by Mr. Sachdeva, affectionately call ‘Jeety’, said they are delighted to have the Honorary Consul General to Liberia as their neighbor, who they described as a man without border through his endless humanitarian services to the most needy.

The feeding program launched by Mr. Sachdeva  has entered its three years with number of individuals who are been fed on a weekly basis increasing by the day with dozens of people including the elderly, children and even the disabled are catered to who take away delicious plate of rice, water and pack of juices for the little ones.

Our staff who was on the scene said he saw dozens of children, the disabled and the less fortunate elderly serving them with food, while the India Consul General who is also a businessman  was helping in the process; making sure that each and every one who turned out was served.

“Words are inadequate to express for the level of caring this man has, giving our people free food. We are indeed pleased with him, and prayed that God will make him prosper in what venture he is involve,” one of the elderly who spoke to our staff  with a plate of rice in his hands said.

According to the residents they are fed five days a week, and noted that approximately 800 individuals are benefiting from this kind gesture of this India Honorary Consul General.

Effort by our staff to speak to Mr. Sachdeva regarding his initiative designed to helping  the most needy did not materialized due to his engagement with the children, the elderly and the disabled serving them with food.
