LIBERIA: Gov’t Halts Issuing Of Laissez-passers

The Liberian Government has reportedly ordered the halting of the issuing of laissez passers as of today’s date, according to the Assistant Minister for Public Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sylvester Pewee.

He said the reason on the halting of the issuing of the Laissez Passers is deal with the current global health issue which involved the deadly outbreak of the Coronavirus from China which has taken hundreds of lives.

Mr. Pewee also disclosed that with this immediate halting of the issuing of Laissez-Passers will allow immigration authority to actually know the destination of travelers arriving in Liberia.
