LIBERIA: Court Detains Woman Who Duped Several Of US$45K

The CEO of the Classic Travel Connection, Ruth Fully, is currently behind bars for duping several persons of over US$45,000.00 under the pretext of providing air tickets to enable them travel to various countries.

But after receiving the amount, Madam issued the unsuspecting persons travel tickets that turned out to be invalid, forcing the victims to file a lawsuit against her.

The defendant was arrested on December 31, 2019 following a writ issued by the Monrovia City Court and placed behind bar  for the first time, where she was released by her lawyer on January 2, 2020.

After been released, she was later sent back to jail for failing to proffer a valid criminal appearance bond to ensure her release.

Monrovia City Court Magistrate Jumah Jallah said the behavior of the defendant being “very criminal in nature” required that she files a valid criminal appearance to secure her release or go back to jail.

The defendant is currently incarcerated at the Monrovia Central Prison on charges of Theft of Property by deception.
