Michael Cohen, former fixer for President Donald Trump, testified to Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) in a public House hearing Wednesday that he knew about other crimes implicating the president, but he was not at liberty to discuss.
Krishnamoorthi was inquiring about the last communications between Cohen and the president, which Cohen said had occurred a few months after the FBI raided his home.
“What did he or his agent communicate to you,” asked Krishnamoorthi.
“Unfortunately, this topic is actually something that’s being investigated right now by the Southern District of New York,” Cohen replied. “And I’ve been asked by them not to discuss and not to talk about these issues.”
“Is there any other wrongdoing or illegal act that you are aware of regarding Donald Trump that we haven’t yet discussed today?” asked Krishnamoorthi
“Yes,” Cohen responded. “And again, those are part of the investigation that’s currently being looked at by the Southern District of New York.”
