Japanese carmaker Honda is preparing to announce the closure of its factory in Swindon, Sky News has reported.
Closure of the plant, which produces over 100,000 Civic cars, in 2022 would put 3,500 jobs at risk.
According to reports, Honda would retain its European headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire and its Formula One racing team operations in the UK.
Honda has manufactured vehicles in Swindon for more than 30 years.
