Penge crash: First picture of mum killed after being run down while pushing pram

Nicole Newman

This is the first picture of a young mother who was hit and killed by a car while pushing her baby boy in a pram.

The mother was named locally as 23-year-old Nicole Newman as her eight-month-old son fights for his life in hospital.

It is claimed the dying mum screamed “where’s my baby” after she and the pram were hit by a car in Penge, south London, on Sunday night.

Ms Newman died at the scene despite efforts to save her, and her baby boy was rushed to hospital, where he remained in a life-threatening condition on Monday morning.
