For Beating On His Uncle Man, 39 Mob To Death

A 39 years told man identified as Konah Jallah has been mobbed to death by angry residents for allegedly beating on his uncle in Bong Mines, Fuamah District Bong County.

According to our Bong County Correspondent, the incident took place on Thursday November 15 in Mawah Town in Fuamah District, lower Bong County.

Our Correspondent said, Konah Jallah allegedly beat on his Uncle and was later taken to Court.

He said following a preliminary investigation into the crime, victim Jallah was immediately asked by local authorities of the area to pay the amount of $1,000 Liberian Dollars for disgracing his uncle.

Our Correspondent recounted that at least six persons were allegedly linked to the killing of Konah Jallah and subsequently arrested by officers of the Liberia National Police awaiting Court trail.

He stated that after the preliminary investigations by authorities of Mawah town, some unidentified gentlemen headed by one Moses asked Konah Jallah to accompany them to a nearby creek, maintaining that he was mobbed by the individuals after being tortured for several hours at the creek.

Upon his return from the creek, our correspondent said Konah was pronounced dead by medical doctors at the Bong Mines hospital.

According to our source, family members of the late Konah Jallah have expressed sorrow over the death of their relative and while at the same time calling on the police to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The corps of Konah has been turned over to the family members for burial.

The situation has brought total fear among residents of Mawah Town in Fuamah District many of whom are grieving over the death of Jallah.

Some eyewitness who knew the victim told our Bong County Correspondent that he was a very potential man and was always willing to learn and help other.

According to him, some citizens in the area have express serious dissatisfaction over the death of the late Jallah and adding that who will take care of the late Jallah nine (9) children in the town.
