Woman, 3 Children Dead In Brooklyn House Fire

At least four people are dead and five are injured after a fire ripped through a Brooklyn home early Monday morning.

The fire broke out just before 2:30 a.m. on East 14th Street in Sheepshead Bay.

The fire quickly spread to the second floor and roof.

Police said the people killed were a 40-year-old woman and three of her children, an 11-year-old boy, a seven-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl.

Three others were taken to Staten Island University Hospital in critical condition and two were transported to Maimonides Hospital with minor injuries.

Officials say one man managed to escape with four teenagers.

Investigators believe the fire was accidental. The FDNY is trying to figure out what sparked the fire.
