Ellen Confidant, Mary Broh Insist On Supporting Boakai Presidential Bid, As Others Throw Weight Behind George Weah’s CDC

The General Service Agency Director, also a confidant of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Madam Mary Broh has publicly reaffirmed her support to the presidential bid of Vice Joseph Nyuma Boakai, and further refuted reports suggesting that she is a spy in the camp of the Vice President.

Speaking recently in an interview with the news-public-trust, Madam Broh also dismissed claims by some executives of the ruling Unity Party that President Sirleaf supports the presidential bid of Senator George Weah of Coalition for Democratic Change or CDC.

A one-time Monrovia City Mayor, Broh noted that people who say she is a spy are wasting their time.

The GSA Boss also quoted by news-public-trust said she has known Vice President Boakai since she was 17 years old.

Broh said she does not flip flop and that she supports the Vice President’s presidential bid hundred percent.

She warned Liberians against resorting to violence, because no country in the West African region will be willing again to warmly opening their arms to receiving Liberian refugees.

Meanwhile, Madam Broh has said she is in supports of a group of women planning to stage a solidarity march in support of President Sirleaf, amidst growing insults and attacks coming from her own party.

She at the same time condemned those in the habit of insulting the Liberian leader and people in authority.

President Sirleaf recently dismissed her youthful Minister of Labour Lamin Lighe, a strong supporter of VP Boakai’s presidential bid for “gross disrespect and wicked act.”

Madam Broh seems to be the lone President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf confidant to maintain her link with the Liberian Vice President in his bid for the Liberian presidency, while others mainly executives from the Unity Party have expressed their support to the CDC, reportedly under the canopy of the Liberian leader, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, even though it is unconfirmed about the link of the president to the CDC.
