Ellen Fires Labor Minister For Opting Her Removal From The Party

: President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has with immediate effect relieved Labor Minister – Atty. Neto Lighe of his position

Following a serious protest on the grounds of the ruling Unity Party (UP) by the youth wing of the Party in demand of the removal of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf from the party for alleged lack of support to the presidential bid of Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, one of the masterminds of the protest has with ‘immediate’ effect has been dismissed by the president.

Atty. Neto Lighe, Minister of Labor was dismissed early this week by the president for being part of the protest behind her removal, noting that his dismissal is due to ‘His continued gross disrespect and participation in wicked attacks and false accusation levied against the presidency.’

This latest action on the part of the Liberian presidency to dismiss a cabinet minister for his alleged link to crave for her removal seems to ponder many Liberians who spoke to our reporter during the week.
