Liberia’s main opposition political party, the Coalition for Democratic Congress presidential candidate, Senator George Manneh Weah who on Sunday, attended a service of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Lagos, with Pastor T.B. Joshua, leader of the church, told his congregation that Weah was in the church to know God’s opinion about his country.
Also in attendance was Senator Yormie Johnson, a former Liberian warlord.
Pastor Joshua, who welcomed Weah during his sermon, said “my brother is here today because he loves his country and wants God’s choice for his country.
“He is not here to impose himself. What does God say about his country, Liberia? What is God’s opinion? That is why he is here.”
This was just as the cleric disclosed that Liberia’s incumbent vice president and Weah’s contender in the coming presidential run-off, Joseph Boakai, had also contacted him to request a meeting.
The presidential run-off election between Weah and Boakai is scheduled to hold on November 7.
Speaking further, Joshua admonished Nigerians to also seek God’s opinion concerning the country, saying God had answers to every problem.
Speaking further, Joshua reiterated that he was not favouring any particular side of the political spectrum in the Liberian affair, adding that his own role was to pray for the will of God to be done in Liberia.
