ANC Lights Up Monrovia With Its Final Campaign Rally

The City of Monrovia and its environs was overwhelmed with yesterday, October 7, 2017 with the national color, the Red, White and Blue when the Alternative National Congress (ANC) launched its final campaign rally at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in readiness for the October 10 poll come next Tuesday.

The colorful gathering of the ANC partisans and other well-wishers saw executives of the party, including its presidential and vice presidential candidates, Alexander Benedict Cummings and Jeremiah C. Sulunteh to be in their jolly disposition with smiles on their faces, and at one point, Mr. Alexander Benedict Cummings, the presidential candidate was seen dancing as a sign of his appreciation to those who turned out in the heavy down pour o rains.

Singing, dancing and clapping with pro-slogans of the ANC: “That ANC we want, ANC is our party and ABC is our President,”  was the main scene of the day, as many of those who were interviewed by our reporter overwhelmingly expressed their support to the ANC and its standard bearer, and vowed at all cost to vote for him come Tuesday, October 10, 2017.

“For me Alexander Cummings is the man I will carry on that day; this man is the kind of person we are looking for to rule this country,” a lady, Martha Turgbe in her ANC T-Shirt and believed to be in her late sixties speaking to our reporter said.

“This Party will make a difference in the October 10 poll, the number of persons I am seeing here today is surprising, this guy will surprise Liberian people during the election on that day,” Abraham Keita, a resident of central Monrovia speaking to our reporter also noted.

The daylong rally in that heavy downpour of rains was climaxed with a major statement from the presidential candidate, Alexander Cumming who assured Liberians that it is about time that Liberians take charge of their destined for the growth and development of their beloved country, Liberia, Africa’s oldest republic.
