As 2017 Election Draws Closer, UP Partisans Criticize Strategic Communication Team, Admits Corruption Is Swelling Within

As the country goes to the poll on October 10, 2017, with nine more days remaining, some ex-officials of the Unity Party (UP) have criticied the strategic communication team of the party, saying the it is allergic to accountability, describing the party as a ‘Fountain of corruption’.

According to a member of the Party’s media team, Charles Roberts in a communication to the GNN, expressed disappointment in the party, especially when the issue of corruption is being highlighted.

Mr. Roberts said, “First of all, the JNB or Joseph Nyuma Boakai & JEN of J. Emmanuel Nuquay Campaign is being run on the foundation of Integrity. When money is given for members of the Media Team, Mr. Mo Ali, Head of the team and official spokesman of the Unity Party Campaign, pocketed the money and distribution is done directly from his pocket without disclosing how mush was given and what each member of the team is to receive,” he complained in his communication to the GNN.

Roberts’ communication also noted, “Another problem is all these Gentlemen are supporters of Mr. Amara Konneh, former Minister of Finance and are not members of the UP. Mr. Vaillah M. Dorley who publicly announced that he was Chairman of The Youth Desk of LPP but didn’t announce his resignation from that post, is now member of the UP Media Team.”

He alleged how Vaillah M. Dorley has an unflinching loyalty to Liberia’s former Finance Minister, Mr. Amara M. Konneh, while he (Konneh) has his Loyalty to President Sirleaf and Robert Sirleaf who is now a member of the opposition Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).

Roberts also disclosed that Amara Konneh and Dr. James Kollie supports to JNB and the UP remains unclear, only because President Sirleaf told them not to go the JNB way, an allegation which is yet to be confirmed by the GNN.

For his part another member of the UP Strategic Communication team, Mr. Harry Ar-toe Gkornean, sometime back right in the Finance Ministry said he had never seen a Political Party that is seriously disorganized then the Unity Party, buttressing statement made by Mr. Saye Maye Cole who is now Chairman of the Unity Party Montserrado county. Remember that Mr. Saye Maye Cole also has an unshakable relationship with Mini. Amara M. Konneh and the Sirleafs.

“Those Gentlemen are today in the Unity Party War Room pretending to be discussing Strategies as it relates to the Unity Party campaign, whereas leaking these information to their Slaves Master reaching the bedroom of Madam Sirleaf who is very desperate to not see the Unity Party being elected. We need to be careful with people who have divided loyalty like these,” Mr. Roberts warned.

All efforts applied to contact those accused including Vaillah M. Dorley and Mo Ali proved unsuccessful, however our investigation continues.
