Police Arrest Takun J., District #8 Representative Candidate

Liberia’s King of Hipco Jonathan Koffa, commonly known as Takun J,

One of Liberia’s undisputed king of Hipco, Jonathan Koffa, commonly known as Takun J, and a representative candidate for Montserrado County District #8 on the ticket of the Alternative National Congress (ANC) was reportedly arrested today.

According to GNN source, Takun J, was arrested by the Liberia National Police in Monrovia and detained for few hours and later released without charge.

Speaking on the arrest of Takun J, Police Spokesman, Sam Collins confirmed the arrest in a telephone interview with the GNN, and said his arrest was done when he, Takun J, was amongst several persons who were being raided by the police for drugs usage.

He said following police investigation, Takun J, was not link to the acts that were being committed by those who were raided, and therefore, he was asked to go as a free man, noting, “He has since returned to his residence as a free citizen,” Col. Sam Collins speaking further added.
