FLASH BACK: George Weah and President Sirleaf in handshake

Addressing a group student of the University of Liberia on the main campus of the University recently, the former world best in soccer, has however provided reasons why President Sirleaf is not supporting the presidential bid of Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai.

“President Sirleaf is aware that her Vice President lacks leadership competence to properly overseer the affairs of the country as President of the Republic Liberia. Besides t6he Vice President lacking the competence credentials,” the CDC political leader told the students.

Senator Weah also told the students that the Vice President is ‘too old’ to administer the affairs of the country, arguing that Liberia at this time needs young man to take over the country, stressing in a thunderous voice said, ‘Not old man Boakai.’

Speaking to the students, Senator Weal also disclosed that the President told her Vice President that both of them should retire together, but instead he said Vice President Boakai refused to honor the president’s request, adding, “This is another reason that President Sirleaf turned her back on him (Boakai) during these elections,” Senator Waeh said.
