Arrest Of Musa Bility By INTERPOL Rubbished

Mr. Musa Hassan Bility

Following media reports that the President of the Liberia Football Association and Chief Executive Officer of Liberia Mega Petroleum Giant- SRIMEX Oil and Gas Company, Mr. Musa Bility was being wanted by the International Police or INTERPOL has proven to the contrary.

GNN-Liberia has been reliably informed that the Liberian National Police (LNP) has failed five times to get the International Police (INTERPOL) to confirm to this purported arrest order for Musa Bility.

Documents in the possession of this paper uncovers that the Liberian National Police had written INTERPOOL Nigeria Bureau on five different occasions to confirm the information about the arrest order for Bility.

In the communication to the Abuja desk of the international Police, LNP requested that the body provide all of the evidence including the cheque’ that was reportedly paid by Bility to a Nigerian Business man. It seems to suggest that INTERPOL Abuja bureau does not take the LNP request seriously, as it does not have any such case in its file.

According to a media report the Liberty Party Campaign Chairman was accused of Breach of Trust, Cheating and the Issuance of Bad cheque. However, investigation conducted by this paper seem to suggest Mr. Bility and his Business partner are in good standing.  The news of the report of issuance of bad cheque’ seem foreign to the Nigerian Business man who has denied knowledge of engaging the international Police (INTERPOL).

According to the INTERPOL regulations, all request for wanted persons are communicated to all of their Bureau stations across the world. In this case, it is completely strange that request for the arrest of Musa Bility is not on Global Police website, nor has any of its Bureau station been informed.

However, when Mr. Bility was contacted by the GNN Liberia to comment on his alleged arrest order by the INTERPOL as being reported in a local daily, Mr. Bility in a rather calm state of mind, denied the report, noting that it is politically motivated, and should not be given credence.
