‘I Am Motivated and Determined To Bring Transformation’ Aspirant Garpeh Rallies Citizens of Nimba Dist#8

A Representative candidate of Nimba County electoral district#8 says transforming the lives of the people of his district serves as motivation to represent the district at the 54th National Legislature. Speaking to this paper via mobile phone from the district, Melvin Saye Sendolo Garpeh a candidate on the ticket of the People Unification Party (PUP), Garpeh exuberantly praised the collaboration between the Unity Party and PUP, for the selection of House Speaker James Emmanuel Nuquay as Running Mate to Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for the ensuring 2017 presidential and Legislative elections. He maintains that unity party and people’s unification party collaboration is the best political decision in history of our Liberian politics.

The UL lecturer further disclosed that his interventions in his district with regards to scholarships, cements, zinc, and working with the community for the rehabilitation of bridges and roads are all gear towards transforming the lives of his people.

Nimba County electoral district# 8 has 75 towns with five chiefdoms; they include Lao, Zahn, Gbannah, Lesonnon, and some parts of Gbeyi with 31,029 eligible voters according to the National Elections Commission (NEC). With said voter registrants, Team Garpeh is optimistic of winning the election.

“We want to assure our people that our platforms for meeting the leadership desire of our citizens remain unchanged,” he said.

The PUP’s candidate is targeting agriculture, education, health, food security, and sustainable development as priority areas that need urgent attention when elected as representative comes October 10, 2017. Garpeh, called on the young people across the district to see his team as the advance team and as such, his team should be supported for success.

Meanwhile, the vision bearer and political of Citizens Alliance for the Election of Garpeh and the presumptive Representative of electoral district # 8 Garpeh has congratulated the VP for endorsing and implementing several strategic developments projects including District 8 Rural Women Multipurpose Building, Donation of Ferry that connects District 8 with 9 respectively.

He has also welcomed the appointments of Senator Grupee, Hon. Edwin M. Snowe, Jr, Hon. Cletus Wortorson and others as National Campaign Manager and Senior Advisors respectively.
