Pres. Sirleaf Makes New Appointments In Gov’t, John Ballout Now Ambassador To Qatar

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has made new appointments in government affecting the Ministries of Agriculture, Foreign and Internal Affairs, Forestry Development Authority and the Liberia Intellectual Property Office.

 
According to an Executive Mansion release, those appointed at the Ministry of Agriculture are Mr. Aaron G. Marshall, Deputy Minister for Technical Services;
Mr. Norwood Langley, Director, Program Management Unit and Ms. Deroe Davis-Weeks, Assistant Minister for Planning & Development.
 
At the Forestry Development Authority, Mr. Bowen L. Sayon becomes Deputy Managing Director for Operations, while at the Foreign Ministry Mr. John Ballout was named Ambassador to the State of Qatar
 
The Liberia Intellectual Property Office will see Attorney Roosevelt Gould as         Director General; Attorney Fanta Conte-Barclay  as Deputy Director General for Copyright and Attorney Rufus Moore as Deputy Director General for Industrial Property.
 
Local appointment at the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Grand Kru County is Mr. Joe M. Sekpeh, Assistant Superintendent for Development and in Bong County,
Francis Gbelawoa as District Commissioner, Suakoko District.
Meanwhile, these appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate where applicable.
