Trump planning to launch ‘preemptive missile strike’ if North Korea tests nuclear bomb

The US is thought to be considering launching a preemptive missile strike against North Korea if the isolated state tests its nuclear weapons.

However, a senior official with the Trump administration has denied an NBC report that claimed the US military was prepared to attack.

According to NBC, intelligence officials said two destroyers capable of shooting Tomahawk cruise missiles had been positioned in the area – one just 300 miles from North Korea’s nuclear test site.
