
Damascus, Mar 22 (Prensa Latina) Syrian Army units have hoards of terrorists that had infiltrated in Jobar, a district in the eastern outskirt of Damascus, surrounded and have repeatedly repelled their attempts to break the siege, a military spokesperson told the local media.
Since yesterday morning, military forces engaged in violent clashes with a huge number of commandos of the terrorist organization Jabhat al-Nusra that had daringly moved into northern Jobar, an area of textile factories, inflicting on them big losses.
Quoted by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the source said the military had killed more than 150 terrorists, including foreigners and some of their leaders, in addition to injuring hundreds of them, destroying three car bombs, and killing seven suicide bombers before they could reach army positions.
SANA also reports Wednesday that the Syrian Air Force carried out since dawn a number of air strikes targeting the terrorists’ movements and supply routes coming from the Eastern Ghouta towards the north of Jobar neighbourhood, inflicting on them heavy losses.
