Zambia security arrests 3 foreigners, including a Liberian with US$10,000.00 counterfeit notes

A woman who had an arrest warrant for possession of crack cocaine is handcuffed in South Los AngelesLUSAKA, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) — Authorities in Zambia on Wednesday announced the arrest of three foreigners who were found with 10,000 U.S. dollars counterfeit notes.

Among those arrested included a Liberian businessman and two Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) nationals who were found with 10,000 dollars in 100 dollar bills, according to the Drug Enforcement Commission.

The trio, who live in Zambia as businessmen, were arrested by the anti-drug agency’s anti-money laundering unit.

They are expected to appear in court soon.
