BY ALL accounts it seems likely that Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma is making quiet plans to join the revered likes of Liberia’s Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf as one of Africa’s female presidents.
Dlamini-Zuma, 67; currently chairs the African Union (AU), a collection of over 50 countries dedicated to strengthening links within the continent and its influence on the world stage and has a decorated political career.
The mother-of-four is often referred to primarily as the ex-wife of Jacob Zuma, who is the President of South Africa; although they have been divorced for close to 20 years. An easy identifier to use when speaking of Dlamini-Zuma outside of diplomatic and political circles, which may very well become obsolete soon as her star continues to rise.
