Montserrado County Electoral District #3 representative aspirant for 2017 elections Ceebee Barshell was happily welcomed by members of the Omega Oldfield Community, in Paynesville from the United States.

Speaking to the GNN-Liberia, the Omega residents said the welcoming of Mr. Barshell was necessary because, according to them, is that man who always listens to the cry of the poor when they are in search of finical aid or other things that will help to improve their livelihood.

Speaking further the residents on Sunday 8 January 2017, at a mass gathering held at a local institution in Paynesville, the Co-Chairman of the Omega Oldfield Community Youth Jefferson Young lauded the representative aspirant of district # 3 who he described as a man who is always ready to come to the rescue of his citizens, and further described him as a man of good leadership skills.

The Co-Chairman of the Omega Oldfield Community Youth and others who dwell in the community also vowed to support Barshell through their votes come 2017 because the community has identified him (Mr. Barshell) as a man of the people.

He also praised Barshell for his numerous contributions made and continues to make in the Omega Oldfield Community, and called on voters to shine their eyes in electing someone who will have the district.

“We are willing to fully support you in the 2017 general and Presidential elections by our votes so as to ensure that you win the Montserrado County District # 3 seat,” Mr. Young assured Mr. Barshell.

The Co-Chairman and the Omega Oldfield Community members also appealed to their representative aspirant to help them with their community road project which he earlier in 2013 contributed Forty Thousand Liberian Dollars.

He said their community is urgently in need of good road so as to enable them commute from one place to another, adding, “Please help us rehabilitate our community road and connect it to the pipeline road.”

In his response, Barshell expressed thanks and appreciation to the resident of the Omega Community and assured them of his financial support in whatever they have resolved to do, and also indicated that he has listened to their appeal and vowed to carry on the operation.

Mr. Barshell further noted that as soon as the provision is made for the start of the road project he will be prepared for its kickoff.

“I promise to carry on your community road rehabilitation if fuel is provided,” Mr. Barshell lamented.

He further thanked members of the community who form part of his welcoming ceremony, and urged them to take an opportunity to form part of the voter’s registration process whenever NEC starts.
