The Liberian Government is commending outgoing UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, for his immense contributions to global peace and security, speaking recently, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf said : “Mr. Ban’s great work continues to inspire a lot of people around the world.”

“The outgoing UN Secretary General will always be remembered for the great and remarkable strides made in sustaining global peace and security,” she also said.”

The Liberian Leader made specific reference to the work of the United Nations, through UNMIL, during the search for sustainable peace and security in the country.

She further called for reform in the United Nations, particularly in the Security Council.

The Liberian leader made the commendation  recently in New York, the United State when she addressed the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, USA.
