Shallow Earthquake Detected Near North Korea Nuclear Test Site

800x-1A shallow 5.0-magnitude earthquake was detected near North Korea’s nuclear test site, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

South Korea’s government said North Korea may have conducted a nuclear test, Yonhap News said, citing an unidentified government official. It said the earthquake appeared to be artificial in nature.

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake in a similar location was recorded before North Korea’s fourth nuclear test in January at the site. The news agency said the test was at the same location. READ MORE OF THIS REPORT
