‘Removal’ Crisis At The Capitol Building Again, As Signatures Are Gathered To Unseat Senate Pro-Tempore

As majority members of the House of Representatives crave for the removal of their Speaker, Alex Tyler, another scenario of such action has move stealthily in the Liberian Senate to the amazement of Liberians.

Some group of Senators headed by Grand Gedeh County Senator Alphonso Gaye are call for the removal of the Pro-Tempore who is also Senator of Gbarpolu County, Senator Armah Z. Jallah for what they called his statement that the Senate will not do business with Speaker Tyler, neither those who considered themselves as ‘Major Bloc’ opting for the removal of the Speaker.

But after the Pro Temp’s pronouncement some senators including Senators from Margibi, River Cess and Grand Gedeh Counties held an undisclosed meeting with Speaker Tyler, and vowed to uphold the rule of law.

Information gathered late last night by our staff disclosed that up to present signatures are been gather from other members of the Senate for the removal of the Senate Pro-Tempore, Senator Armah Jallah.

Liberian are now pondering over this ugly situation which has engulfed that branch of the Liberian Government, noting that if this continues it will definitely cripple the existence of the Liberian Government.
