The pastor of a community church in Paynesville outside Monrovia Tuesday pleaded guilty at the Criminal Court “A” to murdering a 23-year-old resident during a fist fight on March 22.
James Mulbah, who was arrested by police on April 16 and charged with murder, told the court that he stabbed Patrick Yeaney multiple times during a fist fight on suspicion of having a love affair with his wife, Hannah Mulbah.
According to Mulbah, he had long suspected and accused his wife of having a relationship with Yeaney, until she packed her clothes and left their residence the morning of the incident with a plan not to return.
Mulbah said he followed his wife later only to see her with the victim, which resulted to the fight between them.
He said it was during the fight that he stabbed Yeaney to death and fled to Bomi County where he was later arrested and brought to Monrovia.
Meanwhile, the case will continue on Thursday, August 18, during which evidences will be adduced before the court.
