As Tension Mounts On Capitol Hill, Armed PSU Officers Deployed – Insert Is Embattled Speaker Tyler

Our reporter covering the National Legislature say there is a huge presence of Police Officers on the grounds of the Capitol Building amidst persistent move by some members of that House under the banner of Majority Lawmakers to ensure that Speaker Tyler recues himself as presiding officer.

According to our Legislature Affairs reporter, the presence of officers of the Police Support Unity (PSU) is in an apparent readiness to calm any violent situation that may erupt.

What remains unclear is who may have invited armed Police officers on the grounds of the Capitol.

Our reporter is quoted as saying there was chanting of slogans in favor of indicted Speaker Alex Tyler upon his arrival with scores of representatives loyal to him.

Today members of the anti-Tyler lawmakers planned to have stage a situation that would have remove the Speaker by force, with this in mind, many of the employees were however reluctant to enter their offices as dozens of bystanders stood outside the Capitol as they watched the arrival of  the well armed PSU officers on the ground of the Capitol.

Members of the Interfaith Mediation Committee comprised of both Muslims and Christian’s cleric were also seen entering the fence of the Capitol Building in an apparent bid to bring the situation under control, while at the same time some Pro-Tyler   groups were seen chanting pro-Tyler slogans.

One report says the national leaders lacked up in an emergency meeting with indicted Speaker Tyler in his conference room.

According to our reporter, members of the Majority lawmakers are yet to be seen on the grounds of the Capitol, but are reportedly in a closed door meeting in the Sinkor belt.

People visiting the Capitol Building this morning are subject to security screening at various entrances of the building.

Detail will follow in our subsequent posting
