Temple-of-Justice.0-2{LINA} – The City Court at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia has detained 19-year-old Akie Wesley, a resident of Sinkor, for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl.

Defendant Wesley was arrested by police on Wednesday, July 27, based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother.

The Police charge sheet says the defendant led the victim to his residence under knife-point and threatened to harm her if she refused to have intercourse with him, subdued her, and forcibly raped her.

The defendant allegedly detained the victim in his room for two weeks and sexually abused her until a neighbor rescued her.

The police claims the defendant confessed to the charges during investigation.
