Liberian Vice President Arrived In Istanbul, Turkey

13237690_271559636522489_5240696059529984868_n13226654_271559736522479_142235213150545292_nLiberian Vice President Joseph N. Boakai yesterday arrived in Istanbul, Turkey, to represent President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf at the World Humanitarian Summit convened by the United Nations.

According to a dispatch, following the Summit, the VP will travel on to another Turkish City, Antalya, to also represent the President at the Mid-Term Review of the Istanbul Programme of Action for Least Developed Countries, also convened by the United Nations.

13220839_271559776522475_402955526885666177_nThe Liberian Vice President delegation includes officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance and Development Planning, Internal Affairs, and Gender and Social Protection.

Before leaving Accra, Ghana, for Istanbul, the VP was treated to a dinner by the Turkish Ambassador accredited to Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone Her Excellency Ms. Nesrin Bayazit at the Turkish Embassy in Accra.
