Israel demolishes home of Palestinian who killed two Israelis

isreal1{BNN / RAMALLAH, West Bank} – Israel on May 3 destroyed the home of a Palestinian attacker who had killed two Israelis in October 2015.

According to reports, Palestinian Zeid Amer has been accused of being involved in the murder of Naama and Eitam Henkin in front of their young children.

The couple had been driving on a road between two West Bank settlements when a group from the militant Hamas movement attacked them.

Amr was detained with four other Hamas militants few days after the murder.

Reports have added that Ziad Amer, Zeid Amer’s father said that Israeli troops came to the family’s apartment in the northern West Bank city of Nablus at around 6.30 am on May 3 and demolished the house.

He said, “They destroyed interior walls and closed off our home.”

The family had been informed earlier of the demolition, after the Supreme Court rejected their appeal.

An Israeli spokesperson said, “He was a member of a Hamas-affiliated terror cell that planned and executed the terror attack on October 1, killing Eitam and Naama Henkin.”

Reports indicate that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has increased the number of demolitions of homes with an aim to stop more attacks.

Since mid-September, 200 Palestinians, 23 Israelis and two Americans have been killed in such attacks. Politician Calls For More Awareness on Election Law.
