(LINA) – The Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice has detained at the Monrovia Central Prison a 37-year-old Pastor for allegedly killing a barber he accused of having a love affair with his wife.
Defendant James Mulbah, a resident of Coco Cola Factory, was on April 15 arrested in Bomi County based upon a complaint filed by some members of the community alleging that the defendant killed a hair barber identified as Patrick Yeah for having a love affair with his wife Hannah Mulbah.
According to the Police charge sheet, the defendant was always accusing Patrick of loving to his wife.
The Police charge sheet stated that on March 22, the victim was stabbed by Pastor Mulbah with a scissors, and that after committing the act he fled the scene with his wife to his mother in-law’s residence in Bomi County where he was arrested through the help of his wife.
The Police charge asserted that the defendant had been a money changer while his wife was selling plastic dishes around the victim’s barber shop.
According to the charge sheet, each time the defendant confronted his wife on the issue she always denied until she was seen in conversation with the victim on that fateful day.
During police investigation it was established that the defendant stabbed the victim in his chest with a sharp object and escaped the scene.
Meanwhile, defendant Mulbah is currently detained awaiting court trial.
