Police in Tubmanburg, Bomi County have charged 11 persons with criminal facilitation and property damage for their alleged involvement in a riot on the Sime Darby Plantation in Gbarjike, Senjeh District recently.
They have been detained at the Tubmanburg Central Prison pending trial, according to a police charge sheet.
The charge sheet indicated that the individuals, whose names are being withheld, were arrested by police for destroying hectares of palm.
It can be recalled that community dwellers staged a violent demonstration against the backdrop that an unidentified woman who went to seek medical treatment at the Sime Darby clinic early this month had gone missing.
