LIBERIA: Defection In ALP, As Defectors Complain Political Leader

ureyAs Liberia draws closer for the holding of the 2017 general and presidential elections, several political parties are losing hope due to the defection of their partisans going to other political parties has become a regular threat in Liberia nowadays.

One of such political parties which  has suffered this latest action is the All Liberia Party (ALP) of businessman Benoni Urey with dozens of his partisans defecting and trooping to other political parties for what they called “Looking for the best leader who has non blood on his hands”.

Speaking on a local radio station today, the group accused their former political leader (Urey) of not having interest in those who they said preaching his messages for the presidency.

However, speaking further the group disclosed that they are crossing carpet over to another businessman Alexander Cummings of the Alternative National Congress (ANC).

Observers believed lots of belly driven politicians who are seeking to financially drain the pockets of those opting for the presidency of Liberia on the increase, stressing, “All of these guys who are rooming here and there behaving that support a particular candidate is not for nothing but rather seeking for financial intake.”
