LIBERIA: Crisis Engulf Teachers Union, Leadership Impeached

aabbAs the issue of privatizing the Liberian educational system to an American NGO been initiated, and the conduct of a test for all teachers in the Country due to public condemnation that the Country’s educational system is a ‘Mess’, members of the National Teachers Association of Liberia (NTA) has reportedly impeached their leadership.

According to a communication from the aggrieved members of the association, and read on a local radio station in Monrovia, noted that the impeachment of their leadership is in line of its failure to address the plight of the membership of the association.

The aggrieved members also accused their leadership of massive corruption within the rank and files of the institution.

Effort by this news outlet to contact the President of the NTA, Madam Ellen Varfley could not be materialized as her mobile phone rank endlessly.
