Liberian Born Ghanaian Movie Star Switched

vanAfter years of acting and promoting the Ghana movie industry, award winning actor and movie producer, Van Vicker, has revealed the music terrain is his next setting.

‘‘Being a producer and a director, I have chosen music now, because I think I have done much for the movie industry, with my Van Vicker training facility. So, it is time to contribute to the music industry as well.”

The One Night in Vegas actor made the comment recently in an interview with modern Ghana.

When asked what type of music he would be promoting, the actor added: “Any kind that can catch the international eye.”

“I am looking at discovering a talent for the international market and it doesn’t matter if it is hip-life, gospel, reggae, among others. What matters is real talent,” he said.

Vicker, 38, was born on August 1, 1977 to a Ghanaian Liberian mother and to a Dutch father, who died when Vicker was just six years old.

Joseph, better known as Van Vicker, is a Ghanaian actor. He received two nominations for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Upcoming Actor at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2008.

Vicker is married to charming Adjoa Vicker and has one sister, Phylicia Anderson.
