Family members who spoke with the Liberia News Agency in Gbarnga Wednesday said Toto Jackson Suah left his house in Gbar-ta about 5:00 a.m. to go to the farm for chicken for the funeral of his cousin in Dolo Town.
They said while returning, Suah was knocked down by the train which reportedly came from Yekepa heading towards the port city of Buchanan in Grand Bassa County.
The family disclosed that some officials from Arcelor Mittal have visited Gbar-ta and held discussions with them as investigation continues into the death of Suah.
The wife of the deceased, Quata Suah, said she and her late husband have been together for more ten years and have five children.
She clarified that Suah does not drink alcohol.
The acting commander of the Crime Services Department of the Bong County police detachment John Kelenso Flomo told LINA in Gbarnga that the LNP was still investigating circumstances leading to the death of Suah.
Some authorities of Arcelor Mittal, who spoke to the Liberia News Agency on Thursday asking anonymity, confirmed that they have received the report that the company train killed someone in Gbar-ta along the railroad but investigation were ongoing to obtain the facts.
