Methodists In US Donate Microscope To Trinity High

Members of the Trinity United Methodist Church (TUMC) residing in the United States Wednesday donated one microscope to the Trinity Methodist High School in New Kru Town on Bushrod Island, outside Monrovia.

Presenting the microscope, Mr. K. Advertus Karpeh, Chairman of the TUMC members residing in the US, said they were concerned about developments back
home, especially schools being run by the church.

According to Karpeh, the microscope which costs over US$800 was the beginning of a process leading to the setting up of a science laboratory at the school.

Karpeh lauded faculty and staff of the school for their tireless efforts in providing sound and quality education to students and appealed to them to continue to make the required sacrifices, despite difficulties in performing said task.

Karpeh disclosed that in December this year, a Liberian group, “I Help Liberia”, will visit the country and make similar donation to several high schools, including the Trinity High School.

Receiving the item, Vice Principal for Instruction Gregory Goanseh appealed to other Trinity United Methodist Church members around the world to emulate the gesture of the US-based members and assured that the microscope will be used for the intended purpose.
