JAIPUR, India, (UPI) — Three men in Jaipur, India, were sentenced to 20 years in prison Friday for the rape of a Japanese student who was visiting the country.
The three defendants included, Ajit Singh Chaudhary, the man found to be the primary actor in the assault, and Abrar Wahid and Abdul Wahid, who were convicted under a new law deeming any accomplices present and planning "common intention" to commit rape to have committed the crime.
