The Benoni Urey Foundation has donated an ambulance to the Gray Health Center in Tappita District, Nimba County.
The National Chairman of the Foundation, Emmanuel Lomax, said the donation was in fulfillment of a promise made to the people of Tappita District by the foundation through its head Mr. Urey.
Lomax told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in Gbarnga recently that the ambulance, which is valued at US$90,000, will help ease the numerous challenges facing the health sector of the county.
He disclosed that the foundation has also embarked on an agricultural project through the distribution of corn seeds to several local farmers in Nimba and L$1 million as loan to empower women of the county, especially those involved in business.
He added that the Foundation has also completed the construction of two bridges in Bein-Gan District to ease the challenges faced by citizens in getting their goods to the market due to the deplorable road condition.
