ALJA Executives Visit Ailing Liberian Journalist in Pennsylvania

The Managing Editor of the Monrovia based Option Newspaper, Herbert Johnson, who is currently visiting the US is critically ill.

Mr. Johnson, who is also, former Legislative Media Consultant to former Senate Pro-tempore, Clestus Wotorson is presently hospitalized at the Mercy Fitzgerald Medical Center in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.

Accordingly to Mr. Johnson, he is being treated for liver cancer and his condition is critical. He was admitted at the hospital on April 20, 2015.

On Tuesday, April 21,2015, the Association of Liberian Journalists in the Americas (ALJA) Acting Chairman, Moses D. Sandy and Acting Secretary General, Gardea V. Woodson onbehalf of the Association visited Mr. Johnson to sympathize and give him moral support during this difficult moment. ALJA member James Sipley also, joined the ALJA Executives for the visit.
