In order to humanitarianly to serve the people of Liberia with the support from its numerous donor partners, Plan Liberia ‘Girl Power’ program held a three days annual review meeting last week at a local hotel in Liberia with several participants in full attended.
Participants are the review meeting discussed several issues including Girls Power Programme Ebola Response, Girls Power Programme Joint Lobby and Advocacy plan, and reflection of Girls Power Program among others were featured during the very interactive meeting amongst participants and stakeholders.
At the opening of the meeting, both the Country Director and Program Support Manager of Plan Liberia, Mr. Koala Oumarou and Dr. Collins Sayang urged participants to be keen in their deliberation in order to adequately inform the organization’s donors on the works of Plan Liberia.
For her part, the Coordinator of Girls Power Programme at Plan Liberia, Madam Bernice Newland urged participants to work in the interest of young women in are always in distress, noting, “We must work harder to change the lives of young women and girls, and must also ensure that they are protected at all times,” she told participants at the meeting.
Currently, Girls Power Programme (GPP) are operating in four counties of Liberia including Montserrado, Bomi, Lofa and Cape Mount Counties.
