Pervocate Sent More Diabetes Monitors To Liberia To Fight Hypertensions

The management of Pervocate, a diabetes testing and awareness center has announced the arrival of a consignment of Blood Pressure Monitors in the country. Speaking from the United States the founder of the center Mr. James Momoh said the arrival of the Blood Pressure Monitors is tostrengthen the capacity of the center in meeting the health care needs of the people that are suffering from diabetes and hypertension.  

He said,hypertension like diabetes is a silent killer and people suffering from this medical condition need to closely monitor their health at all times. High blood pressure according to Momoh is the force of blood pushing the walls of the arteries as the heart pumps blood, and if this pressure rises and stays high over time it can damage the body in many ways he added.

He said people suffering from hypertension often suffer from coronary heart disease, heart failure, stroke, kidney failure and other related medical condition.

He said the center goal for 2015 is to bring manageable health to the people of Liberia through a comprehensive awareness initiative in the communities.

He stress that the introduction of the testing meter for hypertension must not be consider as a treatmentbut, to enable people suffering from HBP the opportunity to monitor the rise and fall of their cardiovascular system.  He said,hypertension has become a global health issue and the leading cause of death and disability especially in developing countries.Momoh admonished the general public to visit the center adding, that the center is now equipped with educational materials that will enable people suffering from diabetes and hypertension to better manage their health condition.
