President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has described the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) constructed by the Chinese Government as “first class”.
The Liberian leader said that the ETU will be run and managed by the Chinese Government is something exemplary and thanked China for such exceptional response.
She made the statement Tuesday at the dedication of a 100-bed ETU built by the Government of China at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.
President Sirleaf lauded the Chinese engineering and medical teams for taking up the challenge to come to Liberia to help save the lives of Liberians from Ebola and other diseases.
She lauded the Chinese President Xi Jinping for being the first to respond to Liberia during the outbreak of the virus by sending the first ship load of medical supplies to help fight the virus, adding, “We will forever remain grateful for your assistance.”
