School authorities will shortly begin mobilizing youths in communities to carry out clean-up campaigns and renovation on school campuses, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has disclosed.
The Liberian leader said the exercise could begin after the passage of the 2014/2015 National Budget.
She explained that the renovation and clean-up of school facilities will be in preparation for reopening at a time decided by the level of progress made in the fight against the Ebola virus.
The Liberian Chief Executive made the statement in a nationwide broadcast Thursday in Monrovia.
Schools in the country were closed about four months ago due to the outbreak of the Ebola virus.
Meanwhile, the Liberian leader has lauded the efforts of the international community in identifying with Liberia as it battles the Ebola epidemic.
She said Liberia’s international partners have been of great help since the Ebola outbreak in March this year, and expressed confidence that the collective efforts will yield victory.
