LIBERIA: Grand Bassa County Gets NPA Ebola Response Support, Donates LD85,000.00 Cash and Medical Items To Health Centers

The National Port Authority (NPA) in continuation of its humanitarian support to the people of Liberia in the fight of the Ebola virus has donated several medical items including hospital beds, beddings and a cash of US$100,000.00  which is equivalent to LD85,000.00 Liberian dollars to the Grand Bassa County Government Hospital, and the St. Peter Catholic Hospital in order to holistically join in kicking out the deadly Ebola virus.

Speaking during the donation in the Port City of Buchannan, the Managing Director of the National Port Authority, Madam Matilda Workie Parker accompanied by a high-power official’s delegation from the NPA said the donation by her entity is in its management way to identify with the health centers of the County.

She praised the heath team of the County for its valuable sacrifices being made during the outbreak of the deadly epidemic which has taken hundreds of lives and urged them to do more in the eradication of this disease.

The heath teams of both institutions thanked the Management of the NPA for its generosity in bringing relief to their respective institutions in dealing with the Ebola virus in the County.

The NPA nationwide Ebola response team has taken over three counties including Montserrado, Bong and now Grand Bassa, making sure that its fight against Ebola succeeds.
