President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has called on Liberians, friends and partners to join the government in a united front to combat the deadly Ebola virus.
President Sirleaf said the fight against Ebola is “one that we all must win, if Liberia is to continue on the path of recovery and economic reconstruction and development.”

The Liberian leader thanked the management of EcoBank for the donation and pointed out that the contribution is not only geared towards curbing the spread of Ebola, but it also demonstrates the partnership that has existed between the bank and Liberian Government over the years.
“Your financial services provided to our people and citizenry all over the continent and even beyond are also worth commendation,” President Sirleaf asserted.
She said the Government will continue to work with the Management of EcoBank by providing the required support to enable it adequately provide the best financial services to the people of Liberia.
President Sirleaf, who later turned the keys over to the Coordinator of the National Taskforce, Dorbor Jallah, urged him to deploy all contributions given to the Government as soon as possible and not to allow them to be stored in warehouses, adding, "They should be used to save the lives of our people.”
